New Essay Mechanic

Hey everyone! Just wanted to share with you the new Essay cards. The way the mechanic works has been changed a bit. Now, all players begin the game with 2 Essays and put them face down in front of them. At the end of the game, all players get the resume point value on all of their essay cards (regardless of whether the cards are face-up, face-down, or negatively valued).
Players can get more than 2 Essays throughout the game by meeting certain requirements. Almost every essay card has a condition that when completed, will allow the player to draw additional essays in exchange for flipping the essay card face-up. In addition, negatively valued Essay cards can be passed to an opponent to reduce the amount of Resume points they get! This hopefully will solve the problems that I discussed in yesterday’s post, adding some interaction between players as well as giving them small goals to complete throughout the game.
